The 2 Gang has 2 USB Ports rated at a combined output of 4.8A (with 4.8A maximum for either port when used singularly).

Available in, Aspire, Reflect, Flat Plate, Signature, Iconic & Lyric in all finishes Brushed Steel, Polished Steel, Brushed Brass and Polished Brass finishes and are available with Plastic and Metal Rockers.

Aspire, Reflect and Signature Fit 25mm Mounting Boxes, Flatplate, Iconic and Lyric require 35mm Boxes, in line with the other products within those ranges.

Charging Current

All Contactum USB Charging sockets also incorporate device recognition circuitry, which allows the charger to recognise the various tablet charging configurations on the market and react accordingly, allowing it to provide optimum charging current as required.

This will become increasingly more relevant as Tablets become more powerful and use available battery power quicker and hence need more frequent recharging.

Therefore, the more charging current available from a USB Charging socket the quicker that multiple devices will be charged. The new Contactum 6 Series can provide a massive 4.8A from a single port enough for the most demanding of devices currently available or can provide the same 4.8A shared across its two ports and therefore is powerful enough to charge two Tablets simultaneously.

Whilst actual charging current on a device will often vary according to the current charge state of the integral battery, in its simplest form, charging times are directly proportional with the power available from the charger. Therefore if you charge a Tablet on its 2.1A charger and it takes 4 hours to charge, if you used a 1A Phone charger it will take around 8 hours to charge.
